Rear Hatch Strut Replacement

Hi Everyone, I need to replace my 89 turbo 944 rear hatch struts. They do not hold the hatch up any longer.
Where have you all bought yours and is there any hiccups to look out for. I know they need to have electrical contacts for the boot light/alarm.

Careful, the correct struts are handed, these ones arent!

For a 944/968 the right hand strut must have a metal fitting on the body end of the strut for grounding, the SGS ones have plastic ball joints and don’t work for the heated rear window, surgery is required if you use those
i got mine from euro car parts but that was a few years ago, they were made by original supplier Stabilus

As already suggested, there are two different handed parts required. Getting this wrong can set your on fire, although random electrical problems (wipers, from memory) and blown fuses are more common.
