rear hatch wiper arm

hi, was wondering if a 968 wiper arm would work on the 944? It's just that Porsche has discontinued rear wiper caps for the 944's wiper arm and I am trying to minimise the amount of water is trickling into the washer assembly.

Only a late 944. Somewhere from mid 1989MY onwards will be the same as a 968. before that and 924s are different. Simple rule = conventional wiper and small hole in glass is late and side mounted wiper and large hole in glass is early.

My 86 Turbo had the small hole and conventional mounting, the 83 square dash did have the side mounting wiper.

cool thanks for the help. Looks like I will just have to try and find a wiper cap from a breaker. That or buy a 968 hatch :D

My 86 Turbo had the small hole and conventional mounting, the 83 square dash did have the side mounting wiper.

It had a later hatch then Andy. The small hole didn't appear until 1989. It was quite common because used hatches were only worth £100-£150 tops in the nineties, replacement of the glass was difficult and fiercely expensive. As a result people would replace the hatch rather than repair it.

I had the same problem. Mk 1 or 2 Ford Focus or Puma rear wiper cap fits perfectly.

by any chance do you have the part number? I was thinking it may be this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Genuine-Ford-Fiesta-1995-2002-Rear-Wiper-Arm-Cover-1014456-/360784138223

Sorry, can't remember the part number. I know the early Focus (son's car), Puma (wife's car) and early C-Max (friend's car) all had the same cap which fits. Your link certainly looks the same and it would make sense that Ford would use the same one on the Fiesta.
