Konstantin,

Assuming the part you bought is the correct part. The part shown on the Design 911 web site seems to also show a replacement for the rubber part that fits over the top of the alternator fan. I wasn't aware that it was necessary to replace that part, but it's curious that they show it.

There's not really much choice - there are only two ends, and it can only go one way or the other.

These were on special offer some time late last year through the 911uk.com web site so there must be a few people who bought them at that time. Maybe Sundeep might see this message and have a comment.

Regards

Dave

That's the normal fan air duct in the Design911 pic. You can see a bypass pipe (albeit the OE plastic version) fitted to the normal fan air duct in this thread:

The other end should fit in the rubber collar on the heat exchanger.

The carbon fibre one is not quite moulded correctly as i found out when i tried to fit one. It is possible but it takes some imagination!! if you know what i mean,
does anybody know what the genuine plastic porsche one's part number is as i cant seem to find it on the pet system.
many thanks

Via Rennlist I found that it's part number is 993 211 941 00. It's £147.23 + VAT. I guess it's not on PET because it's a late part that was made just for the cup cars.

Hi everyone,

thanks for your replys, the botom part fits very well but it is at the fan rubber that it doesn't, it is missing 5mm to fit, the angle is wrong, unless as Dave mension it may need a different rubber who has a different angle , i looked at the Rennlist forum but did not see anythink about a special rubber, I will contact Design 911

I can not send a picture the file is to big ...

thanks

Konstantin, if you loosen the three bolts on the rubber fan duct there IS a little bit of give but my guess is that you won't get enough to make up 5 mm. It sounds like Totyfinalist you have found that the aftermarket CF bypass is not up to the job. I'd be asking to send it back for a refund if I was in your shoes.

Hi Steve,

I try to loosen up the ruber from the 3 bolts but there is not enough give to make up 5mm, I think it will need to back to Japmagic, what a waist of time for such a small modification,

Konstantin

Hi Steve,

That part is still available through the OPC as I got my one a couple of months ago. From memory it was circa £150
