Rear Interior removal to gain access to rear shock mounts

Hi

Does anyone have a picture to show where the clips are on the inside of the rear of the inner speaker side panel, I've read a few threads which explain how to pull the cover off but i can't find anything with pictures & I'm not convinced with what I've read, it's not my car so i don't want to break any clips off or damage the panel.

The car is an 01 996 Turbo with Bose.

Regards

Karl

Is this what you need?

Looks good, so remove B pillar trim, then trim around back of side window which will then allow the speaker panel to be removed.

Thanks Richard

I don't think you have to remove the trim around the rear window (C pillar). Just the B pillar trim, so you can get to the screw at the seat belt opening.

I'm not too sure you need to remove that panel anyway. Have you tried lifting out the carpet panel behind the rear seats and taking a peek?

I don't think any of that is necessary. If you remove the Bose subwoofer speaker box the tops of the shocks will be visible. I'll be back when I find info.

Found some piccies, which shows I'm WRONG!! Anyway here is a link which shows removal of subwoofer and then the panel to reveal mounts for a 997, which may be similar.

ummmmmm it does appear from those pics that the top mounts are under the shelf with the Bose subwoofer & not under the side panels as i previously thought, is it really as easy as just 2 torque screws under the Bose vents & an electrical connection as you slide the shelf out.
