Rear Lid Remote Release

The cable from the actuator for the rear lid remote release has snapped on my '99 3.2s.

The local OPC only lists the entire actuator & cable as a single part at over £80.

Does anyone know if the cable is available on its own?

sounds about right to be a complete unit.

you could extend the emergency release cable to a secret location for temporary short term access.

I still have access via the lever in the footwell so all is not lost.

The parts guy at the OPC said he will contact Porsche and try to find out any further info.

I have stripped the unit down and the cable comes out with no hassle.

£80 for 6 inches of cable is a bit steep. Fingers crossed.

ring porsch apart see if he has any , simon is very helpful

it is annoying as all your cable really needs is a new loop on the end i bet...

Exactly right Porsheuro.

I have ordered a "release rod" on their recommendation for £9.91 + vat.

Fingers crossed its the right part.
