Hi,

Bought myself a shiny(er) new rear light panel from EBay - how easy/difficult is it to replace?

cheers

Pete

Very straight forward to replace the centre panel. Follow the instructions in your drivers manual for replacing the reversing light bulb. From memory you need to undo the side light screws (on the outside edge of the side light units) and move the units to the side, then undo a number of screws in the top of the centre panel (lift the engine cover to see these). The panel should then just slide out.

Just a tip on this - I nearly made a mistake and ordered one from US that does not have fog lamps.

Pelican parts have the rear panel at just under 200 pounds (big saving over UK prices nearly 350 inc VAT), but, by chance their part number had a typo in it (a letter added in middle) and I thought I'd look the part up in the PET.

Turns out there are two part nunbers 993-631-140-001 & 993-631-130-001. Pelican have the former - which is for cars with "option" M576 - "Without Rear Fog Lamp".

Doh! - Will go back to searching ebay...

BIG tip Pete! - - - > put some masking tape on the bumper below the lights before you remove them.

It's very easy for a tiny bit of grit under the lights to scratch the bumper as you pull them out [X(]

Hope you enjoy your new light(s)[;)]
