Can some one tell me did they change the rear light and bumper during the 2002 upgrade ?

ive put a picture of my car below need a new rear bumper bought a 2002> bumper but it dont fit is it the car or the bumper ?????

The rear lights are the same shape and fitting AFAIK, but the rear bumper (PU) is different. For the facelift they made the bumper deeper. For this reason they made the exhaust tips with a longer downpipe, so I expect the exhausts are fouling when you try and fit the later bumper to your car.

The car is a 2002 so in theory the bumper should fit the only thing i can think of is the new bumper that has been sent is the wrong one whether it be for a newer or older car.

Sorry - I misunderstood. Seeing your new avatar now I realise you have a facelift car.

What is it about the new one that is different, and stops it fitting?

Edit: Where are you located?

Located in the UAE Dubai.

The radius on the bumper does not follow the car around (almost as if it is for a wider car is a turbo or a 997 wider????)

Also the bumper is not deep enough when against the stops behind the bumper the top lip is not meeting the rear panel.

hope that makes sense thanks for youe help.

The Turbo/C4S bumper is wider, but you would notice the cooling slots behind the rear wheels (see my avatar). Other than that, for 2002-on there are only two basic versions shown on the parts list - the 'standard' one and one for Saudi Arabia. Both versions are shown with/without Park Assistant. I have no idea how the Saudi one differs.

If you could email me the VIN of your car I could look up the correct part number for you.
