rear rebuild question

Hi Guys.

nearly finished at long last rebuilding my 85 3.2 targa, but have found what I would call an exhaust protector shield in the box of parts that was sent back with the car. I had a quick look last night but there is no where obvious for this to bolt to. I have still to attach the rear valance to the bumber?, so the rear is not fully complete.

can anyone shed some light as to where it goes. Its got 3 holes accross the top and bottom with rubber type grommets on two corners of it on one side. Its about 8-10 inches wide and nearly the width of the rear. I assume its an exhaust cover of some kind.

thanks again

Derek

Its a heat shield , it sits centrally on the bumper between the over riders, IIRC it is screwed onto the bumper with machine screws and bolted onto the bottom of the lower valance just inside the lower lip.
