Hi

I would appreciate peoples views on adding clear indicators and side repeaters to a 993 RS and if so where should I get them? Car is black so could look quite neat. I notice that there are also versions with a brake vent but are these purley cosmetic?

Also is there a little rear screen spoiler that has a rear brakelight included? keen to ensure that people know when I brake

help in advance

Hi Silver 7, the clear lenses are purely personal taste, I like them and have them on my RS, these can be normally purchased from most aftermarket specialists, the Porsche mags are full of ads, GT Porsche, Total 911, 911 World etc,
the brake ducts are a working item normally with duct and light combined but are expensive, the roof spoiler and brake light I would say a big no, pointless buying a lightweight Porsche simply to add weight, the mounting brackets for this have
to be bonded to the glass which may be irreversable once fitted, plus you will have to fit wiring through the roof lining and
may even have to drill through the steel roof as the glass is also bonded, so forget the roof spoiler for sure.

thanks the reply - the rear spoiler is out then for sure. Sounds like I need to do some investigation on the ducts etc.
appreciate the advice

Quick answer u either buy ducts with small lights in ......not cheap, compared to plain old ducts wiv an hole! Amount of air to brakes governed by size of pipe behind so does nt make much odds ............

Hi Julian, my RS has the side lights and indicators both in the outside lens, with brake duct where the original side lights were,
never seen this on any other RS but it obviously can be modified to house both light and indicator.

the good news is a company called FMT tuning, the bad news is you will have to travel to Switzerland for the work !!
I will pull my light out and have a look then maybe I could advise you on the procedure.
I would imagine its a second hole in there for the bulb mount to fit then a wiring re route, cant be that difficult to do.[:D]
