Rear Seals on 911 Turbo

Hi just Jioned the forum and can i just say what a fantastic forum it is.

I have a question if anyone can help?

Looking to buy a 911 (996) Turbo 2001 with 61k on the clock. Had the car inspected by Porsche/Rac specialist, main fault found was that Rear Seals need to be replaced.

My question is how much could this cost me and what is involved??

The seller is genuine and very helpfull and willing to discount the car based on the work needed doing, however I need a ball park figure to get back to him.

Can anyone help who has maybe had this done or can reccomend a garage that could quote me, ideally porsche specialist as oppose to main dealer as I know labour and general costs are higher than average.

Many thanks guys.

Edd. (London)

Can not understand why the rear seats need replacing, most are never used, maybe the odd bit of shopping ! If its only the leather get them recovered by a specialist (not a OPC) as they would only farm out and add there profit. They are a very simply arrangement for a rear seat just a pad for your bum and a folding back rest. [;)]

hiya eddie, what part of london are you based? if your over the east of london, you could give joe at hp motorsports a ring, totally clued up on all things 911 and a nice bloke [imho], thats hp motorsports, fairlop, regards jason p
