Rear Seat Belt

Hello again
My NS rear seat belt mech is rattling. Has anybody dealt with that before? The usual con men breakers are shouting 50 quid for a 30 year old part that may well rattle the same as mine. Have noticed you can get one from China delivered for 30 quid. Must be made of plasticine and balsa wood! Also are they sided? Initial thoughts when looking were they are not. Tempted to try a 30 quid Chinese takeaway for giggles.

A pal had his 914's belts refurbished in the UK. He's in hospital (nothing to do with seatbelts!!) at the moment, but I'll ask him when I can and post again.

Got if fixed after stripping it down. The recoil spring had got out of shape/place. Opened it up and it bounded out like zebedee on drugs. Bit of patience and all is good. Was a bit flummoxed with the lock mech but finally realised it was angle dependent, same angle as it is when mounted. Also clear they are sided now after my efforts. Thanks chaps.
