My 89 3.2 has 3 point inertia belts so I imagine they can be retro fitted with parts from a later car, but may need the mountings welding in ?

where abouts do the reels mount ? is there a bolt hole just at the back of the rear quarter window ? cheers johnny

Johnny, I put 3 point belts in the back of my 86 Coupe a few years back. The upper mounting point for the inertia reel is under the rear shelf, which is easy to remove if I remember correctly. You'll need to cut the rear shelf to get the belt through, however, you can buy the correct plastic appature inserts from Porsche to make the job look like its a factory fit (I might be able to supply the part numbers if your lucky). As with all these things, installation is a measure twice, cut once job! The lower two mounting points it sounds like you'll know where these are as your lap belts will already use them! With regards to supply of hardware, Simon Butterworth (Porsch-a-part)supplied mine second hand. I think 964 parts will fit aswell. If you really want to push the boat out, you could but a replacement rear shelf with the appatures already installed! Good luck with the project Regards Phil

Sounds like lap straps only then! There are a pair of 993 lap straps currently on e-bay: [link=http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PORSCHE-993-CABRIOLET-REAR-SEAT-BELTS_W0QQitemZ260377473404QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item260377473404&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1689%7C66%3A3%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318]http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PORSCHE-993-CABRIOLET-REAR-SEAT-BELTS_W0QQitemZ260377473404QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item260377473404&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1689%7C66%3A3%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318[/link]
