Rear Seats

Due to loose/ill fitting rear seat pins my rear seats are rattling.
Are there any consequences if the rear seats are removed? As this will stop the rattling and make a bit more room for the dog.
I'm sure I read somewhere that they help to the stiffness of the car. Is this right?

Also, can anyone recommend a decent leather cleaner for the fronts?

Rob,

I've removed my rear seats and this has had no effect on the car at ( appart from reduce noise !! ) . Whilst taking them out and carpeting the rear I could see no evidence that they provided additional stiffness.

Try INCERO for the leather cleaner. I have tried alot of their products and they are all very good.
