Tone,

It's not so much a "sensor", but a combination of electronic controllers and sensor inputs to it. Depending on the year of your car there may be one or two spoiler controllers - under the right hand seat in early cars, under the dash for later cars. This controller is provided inputs related to speed - again, from the speedo on early cars, from the transmission on later cars - as well as the input from the console switch on >'90 cars. The controller decides what to do with the spoiler based on it's current position (determined by the microswitches) and the road speed of the car.

If the basic electrics are in order then your problem must be the controller - there's not much else left.

Hope that helps.

Dave

Cheers Dave, its a 92, where will I find the controler, and any idea what it looks like?

Tone,

There was a discussion on exactly this subject only the other day on the Yahoo 964 Group. From one of the messages there quote:

"For model year 1991-1994, the control unit was moved under the dash and swapped with the central-locking control unit, which moved under the seat"

There should be a grey coloured box under the dash about the size of a cigarette packet.

You really should join the Yahoo 964 Group - come along and join up at http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/porsche964/
It's very informative and strictly technical.

Regards

Dave
