Rear spoiler

I recently noticed that one side of the rear spoiler is loose on my car, on investigation it seems that the fixings have come loose/fallen out and require replacing. Has anyone done this before or know where I can find the relevant information to fix this myself - I can't see how the spoiler can be removed from the tailgate.
Thanks
Tom

there are 4 cross head screws holding the spoiler on from underneath but be careful as if you undo the screws the nuts on the otherside that are under the hockey sticks (side trims) fall out of position and you will find it very difficult to get them back in place.

I believe to do the job properly you need to remove the hockey sticks first which requite a security screw driver (or one with a gap filed in the middle), and then you need to be very careful to make sure the fixings dont break. If any are broken they need rebonding with something like tigerseal or some other type of body panel bonder.

It sounds like someone previously had a go and gave up!

Thanks

I thought as much, but didn't want to start before asking the question.

I think that will be a fun afternoon spent in the garage with plenty of swearing!

The plot thickens....
Inspecting the boot lid this evening it appears that someone has tried this operation before, and screwed it up on the off-side as there are no longer any of the weird slotted nuts there now!
I purchased a security bit set from Screwfix earlier this week, and that does not have a driver bit that is big enough.
The search continues....

Sorted.
Managed to undo those stupid slotted nut things with a set of molegrips and managed to feed a 6mm set screw back through the bootlid and spoiler.
