rear suspension mounts

hi im new to forum can you tell me what sort of job it is to replace the rear rubber suspension mountings by the rear wheel arches on a 2. 5 lux 1988 .

Any job that involves dropping the torsion bar carrier / tube on a 944 is a major job IMHO, probably one of the biggest.

i was meaning the top most mount but is that the same process

Hi Geoff, i must say i replaced my upper bushes when i overhauled my torque tube and with the torsion bar out of the way it was a doddle. without completly stripping the rear suspension out you may be able to get a ratchet stap over the arm that sits in the bush and ratchet it out of the bush to replace it. i think that may be possible but watch your fingers if the ratchet slips. have you tried www.clarksgarage.com and look for the garage shop manual, very helpful, good luck...
