Rear tyre wear

How many miles would you expect to get from a set of rear tyres on a 993 C2. I know there are loads of factors which will make it differant for differant people, but I am just interested in your experiences.

12,000 miles is certainly approaching the sedate end of the spectrum. I usually get 7,000 miles from a set of rears, some more enthusiastic drivers get less. I am sure it would be possible to shred a brand new set in one session on a trackday. Just watch Top Gear.

My first set Contis lasted wait for it 2500 miles ..... was threaders.........took to Tognola and had it fully Aligned to the RS settings............now up to 7000 with maybe another 2000 to go !!!

On 265 Conti N2, naturally aspirated (a pair of C2s), i was getting around 8k miles.
On 285 C4S around 6k miles.
On 285 TT around 5k miles.

All daily driver usage, no track days.

Tried Bridgestones and Dunlops too but always went back to Contis.

Depends on the tyre, bridgestone S2, about 8-9K, with Pirelli Zero Rossos about 15K plus they handle better when gettting on in life, especially when you hit a patch of water. My fronts have about 16K on but need sorting in the next few weeks.

Worst was Michelin PSs, about 4K

I get about 5'000 kms on my rears (C4S). Have tried Bridgestone S02's S01's, Pirelli Rosso, no difference.

P.S. Before anyone asks: Yes, it is well-aligned. Drive twisty roads.
