rear wheel arches

Does anyone know where I can purchase the plastic film stuff on the rear wheel arches, and is it easy to get the old ones off and refit new ones?

thanks

Should be able to get it from the OPC nick.

If it is anything like the old ones on the 944's etc, then it should peel off with a little help from a hairdryer (borrow one from a passing 964RS owner if necessary[:D]). Then self-adhesive stick on the new ones.

(What have you been up to that they need replacing so soon[])

I had the nearside one on mine done at a local bodyshop - £30 for the film £25 fitting. Porsche charge about £60 just for the film

£25 just to affix some self-adhesive film! Is it that difficult? Surely, warm the film and the surface - after cleaning it - and then smooth it on.

armourfend or paintshield do kits
had the full armourfend on my 4s on the 997 had the paintshield, the fit of the front valance wasnt as good as the armourfend one but the wheel arch and rear wing kits are fairly fool proof

Mark.
When the track day instructor at Bedford said "I want you to keep it right in on this bend, and aim the car at the cone" I did.[:D]
He did say afterwards "I SAID AIM AT IT, NOT HIT IT" So I have a little chaffing on the inside leg[;)]

Mark,

We only carry them cause we know you Boxster guys are always looking for one at track days.

Shaun (your ever helpful 964 RS owner)

Hi Nick,

Been trying to get on Silerstone day 12th April & Spa 24th May but both booked, am on waiting list but doesn't look to good. Will do the RMA day silverstone 19th April maybe Spa with them as well.

Sounds like you have been busy buying tools for some serious work!! Have you booked any days?

Shaun

Shaun,
Well I thought I had better tool up and at least look the part. Very keen to book another track day, want to do another day at Bedford before I embark on another track, maybe Goodwood.

I have to say the ole tyres took a bit of a bashing at Bedders

Yes Bedford is good place for not worrying too much about Armco, Tyre walls etc would like to go back myself but not much fun when you have to drive half hearted due to noise regs.

So looks like noisey days only at the mo but if get black flaged on them will change back to silencer on exhaust system.

Nick.

Did you get any pics of your car going around the circuit. BTW hows the red one going with new tail pipes!

HI Craig I would be very interested in some feedback on this if you can give me a call on 01476 592777 or post up here what the exact concerns were I would appreciate it we do hundreds of these for Porsche GB every year and they seem very happy with the fit and the coverage.

Cheers

Tom
