Rear Wheel Grip on Take Up?

Hi all

This might be me, so please bear with me...

Quite a few times now, when I am pulling out from a stationary position and I am making a right turn, I am noticing that the offside rear wheel appears to skip or loose traction for a split second.

At first I thought that I might have been slightly heavy footed, but it seems to happen every time at two particular junctions on my daily drive regardless of my take up speed. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Comments/observations welcomed!

Hi David,

I get that when I pull out of my drive (also turning right). I reckon it's the differential letting slip. I am not a technical/mechanical person but I put it down to that. If I turn at less of an angle it does not do it (worth a try with yourself).
Also the car is twisted so this may add to the slip. When I say twisted the back right would be higher (coming over/off/crossing the pavement) than the front left..
Don't think it's a problem.

Quite right, the outside wheel needs to turn a greater distance than the inside one, so something needs to give in the middle! [:D]

Regards,

Clive.
