Ok, who design the chrome strip that fits into the rubber seal??????

Who ever they are I hope they were sacked

Ok whinge over, how do you get the chrome strip into the rear window rubber? Does the glass need to be in or out, do I need a special tool, or is just lots of soap and elbow grease.

Any help on this would be great.

I am going to give this ago, not much hope of it working as the trim is not the perfect shape, could have to buy some more[][][]

Jon have a go at flatening it out I did mine ok. takes some time but you can get it ok. Save some ££

lay it on the rubber once it's on the glass and get a drift of where it's out of shape and then slowly bend it to shape. I found it's better to slightly over bend than under bend. as when it's in the rubber it holds in place too little and it pops out..
