rear window seal

devans

New member
Want to replace the main rear window seal as i believe some water is getting in. Previous posts reported where to get the rubber seal from but;

is the replacement easy....has anyone done this.....looks like the old seal will remove easily.

Thoughts appreciated

Thanks

The rear window is bonded to the body, and the rubber trim is just a gap-filler really. If it's leaking, then you would be best getting the professionals in.

Thanks Richard. This would therefore assume that the window wouldn't fall out if the rubber section was slightly removed. Might get a better look at the situation as i feel the leak is ONLY in the lower corner. From what your saying it seems as though it needs cleaning and resetting.
If its not good will follow up as suggested.
Many thanks again.
