I noticed the rear wiper arm has sheared on my 1995 993 C2; any steer as to where to source one of these ?

Many thanks
John

John,

It's a Porsche unique part so your only options are OPC or someone like Berlyn Services (www.partsforporsche.co.uk). Other Porsche parts suppliers will also be able to help. Be sat down before you ask the price though! Something around £115 or so these days.

Regards

Dave

Or, much cheaper, you remove the arm and motor and replace the hole in the rear screen with a rubber bung.

It's a popular modification (in California!).

whilst not exactly cheap, i personally don't think the rear wiper arm is that expensive when you conisder it has several joints / elements to it and is a unique-to-Porsche part. Mine is on the way out - as in i can see where it's going to 'snap', but it's been that way over a year and still not gone yet. I have a replacement to fit and as far as i recall it is basically a 'stock' spare.

Maybe even in Scotland - I think if I was specing a new 911 I would go for rear-wiper-delete.

Just very occassionally I used to use it to clear the wet before I reverse out of driving in morning. But as it does wipe-scrape-scrape I'm really put off using it. If it was just one wipe then it would get more use from me.

Now I put Rainex on the rear screen and the water rolls off just like a duck shaking as I fire up the engine.[8D]

(Anyone know if there is a way to mod the timer so it only does one wipe?)

JL just replace it ,I had 4 months of Do you know your wiper is broken (embarrassing) Just take your time be very careful when fitting it

OPC in stock £115 ish
