REAR WIPER BLADE

I recently bought a set of Bosch super plus wiper blades and whilst the front blades clip in nicely the rear one (as it flew off this evening) doesnt. It seems the curve on the end of the arm is too short! Unless of course part of the wiper arm flew off with the blade.
Anyone else had a similar issue?
Thanks

You've maybe had the click-fit part go whizzing off in a different direction to the blade as it sits on the wiper arm body, held in by the wiper arm curve. []

If you're going SWF, Design911 do them and they come withthe fitting already on the arm.

I had the identical problem but reused the existing rear wiper body arm + fitting and just slid the old blade out and slid in the new Bosch one.

Didn't like the overhang created by the Bosch blades at the front, though, where they didn't meet the curvature of the screen in the blades rest position. Checked with the local OPC and they told me Germany supply Bosch too for our 993s so no solution there. But I remember Bosch used to be fine so spoke to Bosch on the matter also and they say they've modified the design over the years as virtually no mainstream cars now have windscreens curved at the corners. So no solution there either!

For me the answer was to buy Halfords own which do allow the screen curvature to be followed and again to swap the blades out for the Bosch Super PLus I'd first bought, as with the rear one [:D]

I've found that the Porsche blades fit best of all Graeme. They still don't follow the curve of the front screen perfectly but it's only the last half inch or so that sits off the screen. And I don't think that the fit has really changed over the eleven years I've had my car. They are specially made for Porsche with 993 part numbers and also have the cut-out for the bit of rubber to clip into to prevent the possibility if the two blades becoming tangled with each other.

After experimenting with a couple of aftermarket makes I have now given up and only use Porsche items.

In my experience genuine Porsche ones splash the glass in the drivers door mirror but aftermarket ones never do this as they don't go far enough round the corner.
