Rear Wiper Removal

Well its that time again the sun was shining here in essex so thought id get the turbo out for a Clean and polish
just looking at it id really like to remove the wiper from the rear window is this possibe and has anyone done it?
I have seen some i sure without them.
Obviously this is not practical for everyday driving which i dont do anyway.
If any one has any aadvice id love to hear it

+1- Promax bung works great,just rain x your rear hatch and all the water will fly off without your wiper.
