Reat seat belts

Thinking of buying an 968 but it will need to carry the kids part of the time - hence my question:
- were any 968s fitted with 3-point rear seat belts ? if so what year did this start and were they standard or an option for the UK market ?

Thanks

John

All 968s fitted with rear seats were fitted with three point belts too. Club Sports did not have rear seats as standard, but many had them as an option (could only be coupled with specification of "Comfort" seats in the front) and as a result also had three point belts in the rear.

I should have said "All 968 COUPES fitted with rear seats were fitted with three point belts too." The Cab had only lap belts IIRC.

You would need a sport, coupe or specced-up CS. Not a standard CS or Cab. The rear seats in a cab are a lot less unusable anyway as the seat back is almost vertical to cope with the hood being lowered. I wouldn't like to squish into one (not that anyone over about 5' 6" can fit into the rear seats of any 968).

The rear seats will accommodate kids from the age of about 9 months (with forward facing child seat such as the Recaro Start) until they hit about 11 when it will start getting a bit too cramped back there...

I run around with a 2 year old and a 4 year old safely in their child seats, secured by the 3 point seat belts.
