Recaros for 2.4S

My car has a blue interior with standard seats. I am looking to replace the front seats with Recaros (or similar). Were these available in blue from the factory when the car was new ? (I have only ever seen black recaros of that period).
Many thanks.

Black mostly , cloth or leather or vinyl inserts have only ever seen tan or brown otherwise
Have seen black and white houndstooth cloth centers .............

I thought as much! I could change the interior to black, although not a cost effective option. Are there parts/kits available to do this? Any thoughts?

This is a 2.4S we did recently and retrimmed the whole interior in tan leather, originally it was vinyl. I have seen a blue leather sports interior but don't have pictures

Southbound will do anything if u can wait long enough ...Bartons of Luton are doing a mates gemini blue S , as we speak from real mucky stained tan to black trim and recarros ..................sorry no idea where u are in the country ........ Hey Nick is dat Can Can red?

I am based near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
Nick, what sort of cost is involved with a) total retrim in black inc sports seats or b) sports blue seats only?
Part of me wants to keep the interior original but the drivers seat is a bit worn and a previous owner has put loudspeakers in the footwell pockets.....

out of interest, was the car originally supplied with the blue interior?

Here are photos of my genuine 1973 only (double locking) recaros retrimmed in black leather [:D]

Are the black hinges as factory on the later cars? the std Targa seats have chrome hinges but the Southbound 'Recaros' in the S are black.

Martin: All Recaro Sports seats had black hinges.

richyrich: You can have your interior retrimmed in any colour you like.

Nick, the car does have its original interior. A mid blue colour. After consideration I would be looking to have some recaros or similar in the same colour. How do we go about colour matching?
Also would like to replace the footwell pockets in the same blue (where speakers have been butchered in)
Regards, Richard

I am not sure about blue door pockets[X(]. Can you get a sample of you blue vinyl, perhaps off the bottom of the seat?

Hi Nick, I will try and find a sample or take a good photo of the interior. I think changing all to black might spoil the cars originality.

Sorry to bring in a touch of being pedantic but all early 911 Porsche seats whether being Standard or Sport seats were made by Recaro.
