Reccommended Servicing Garage?

Paul James

New member
I am due to get my car serviced in two months - are there any reccommended places places in particular to go? I am in the south-east London area and I am willing to travel a little.

Cheers

Paul

I use HP Motorsport in Hainault. I've had the 48k and an annual. It's run by a couple of guys who give good service and always happy to help. It's close to central line tube terminus at Hainault so you can go into London or the day. Their telephone number is 020 8500 2510.

I have heard good reports of Wrightune (http://www.wrightune.co.uk/), although not used them myselves. Probably not that far from you.

I've met Tony Wright several times, he is a top man and is involved in preparing a 996 cup for Britcar racing. I would have no hesitation in recommending him.

Like Paul who started this thread, I too am looking for a good firm to look after my car, and also live South East, and whilst the above recommendation ticks all the boxes, it's not exactly convenient for S.London / Surrey / Sussex. Surely there is someone in the South East?

Camtune and get a courtesy car. If not, trains (station is five minutes away) are every 30 mins into Waterloo and I can do Bromley South to Byfleet in less than an hour on the train or in the car so quite convenient.

service in the south east , I use Paragon in Five Ashes near Heathfield.

I'm also based in SE London, but for specialist work I use JAZ Porsche (Wembley) and JZ Machtech (Kings Langley). My experience of both has been entirely positive and, in my opinion, they are certainly worth the effort travelling to.

Cheers

Lakeside Engineering nr Woking (ish)....M25 J11. Can get there from Waterloo easily.

It's a v friendly, well priced (labour £45 per hour inc VAT) 2 man band who do Lotus and Porsche. I've only been to them for brakes so far, but they've been v helpful. They did my stuff while I waited and let me watch them, see what they were doing, ask questions and chat about cars the whole time. If you want and posh reception area, minifridge, attractive receptionists and smart people in suits, go elsewhere though!

I used wrightune a couple of times with my C2 because I was working in Oxford and driving past that way, never ever again. Normally I would put it down as a one off, but their attitude stank about putting things right, not even an appology.

I am using JMG Porsche in Bournemouth now and have been for the last 3 years without issue
