recomended body shop (suffolk area)

Anyone able to recommend a body repair shop in or close to suffolk.

Need some rust on rear wing attended to + bubbling under bonnet badge sorted out.

Most bodyshops only seem to be interested in accident repair and complete panel replacement rather than patching in new metal.

Have found a few places on the net to try but would rather go on personal recommendations rather than trying my luck.

Autostrasse use a guy who is good, so I'm told. They're in Coggeshall - just south of Colchester - not that far from the Suffolk border. Call Alan Rouse/Ken Campion on 01376 562922 for their man's details.

talked to 2 places so far

Hitcham garage
and clark & carter

would be interested if anyone has any experience of any of these 2 places wrt quality of work

The cambridge car centre bodyshop did some superb work on my 3.2 and were very reasonable given their workmanship. They are well aquainted with 911 Porsches too.Tel;01223 870022
Hope this may help,

clark and carter in essex, i had some work done and its 100%. call and ask to speak to steve.
the work was carried out to the standards of the porsche network. if you need to have any panels replacing he will only use geniune porsche ones. i would like to get my car repainted in the next year or so and are going to get them to do the job.

Isn't Clark and Carter the place that Autostrasse use?

Way back in the '80s Graham Richardson did all the work for Lancaster Colchester before they brought the work in house - he did a superb repair on my SC - if he's still going (in Colchester) he'd be a good bet too.
