Recommendations for body repairs in London or home counties?

Hi,

Someone went into my 986 at the weekend. The drivers insurer is going to sort it out, but can anyone recommend a good body repair shop in London or home counties please? I'm in Enfield ('Norf' London).

It is just the passengers side door that has the damage - so it could be replaced or repaired. My concern is matching paint colour for any repair as the car is 22 years old now and paint can change over time.

Any recommendations will be appreciated as I can go to the insurer with some options for who could do the repairs.

Many thanks.

M & A Coachworks are in Enfield. Porsche approved...no direct experience but I expect they will be good having looked at their website previously.

Looks like a new door needed I would get a good used door to give to a bodyshop to fit and paint.
Try Adam in Nazeing 07815317285
Mention my name Cliff.

If the insurance company is involved a new door, any selrespecting repairer will paint the door and blend into the front and rear door and lacquer the whole side.

Sorry can't help with a repairer in your area, but make sure they are Porsche approved or highly recommended.

Just had a response from the insurers - the car is written-off [&o]

M&A quoted just over £5k for repairs which the insurer considers unviable to proceed.

Bit of a shame as the car is completely standard, 1998 2.5 model but only 42k on the clock and with complete history (even the magazine review clippings collected by the original owner).

We're keeping it and making the repairs ourselves. The car is too much fun to give up that easily. [:)]

Sorry to hear I thought it might be written off that's why I suggested using a second hand door
Why not try my mate Adam with a used door get him to fit and paint.
Good luck

Thanks Cliff.

I might just go for the same colour door as a direct replacement. The colour tone might be very slightly off - but I could handle that.
