Hi Guys,
I have a 1970 914 that has been in long term storage/restoration and now I finally have a space big enough, I'm looking to get it up to Leicester. At the moment I have the complete stripped out bodyshell that I want to get blasted, repaired and resprayed. I've put the feelers out but can anyone recommend any East Midlands based places that offer a quality job and a reasonable price?
Any recommendations of good work as well as "avoid like the plague" would be gratefully received together with any cost indications.
Thanks[;)]

i have used Jay at Cavendish Classics - he used to be based near PH Sportscars, and did a lot of their work for them, at Shardlow but moved to Long Eaton about 18 months ago.

he has done some race car bits and pieces for me and also did a bottom half respRay and some welding on my Audi Quattro. his number is 07912 123 543.

Usually pretty busy which is a good sign.

tell him I recommended him (he will remember the black and red 924S race car and the grey Quattro), but also tell him you need it finished by a certain date, and don't tell him that he can fit it in around his other work!!!!!!

Another recommendation is Paintology in Nottingham. John has painted all of my cars over the years to concours standards & I wouldn't use anyone else. He is now based in Carlton at the old BMW Body Shop.

I'd recommend Bromham's on Ascot Drive, Derby, 01332 297221 they do excellent work and are very helpful.

Thanks for the responses guys. I'll reach out to Cavendish Classics, Paintology and Bromham's for indicative costs for now. I've also reached out to Faircharm Restorations in Leicester which seems to be a nice quality. Anyone tried them at all?
Thanks
