Recommended Independents

New member
Hello All
I am a new member to the club and a new owner. Have an 03 986 S about 20k miles. It has developed a noise which was diagnosed by the Harston OPC as a wheel bearing rear offside but perhaps front offside, only noisey on road.
Will have to get it fixed in due course.
Can anyone recommend a local independent in Cambridgeshire area please.

Hi re front or rear, did they put the car on a lift and check it or just drive it! would be happy to check on lift if required! If we are not to far away. Regards Berny.

Hi Bernard, yes they put it on the hoist but could not get it to make a noise. I also had it in a local garage immediately as I was concerned there was a binding brake but they also cinfirmed no mechanical noise.
I suspect it is a bearing in the early days of disintegration, and will get noisier.
Any recommendation for an independent?
Peter

Thanks Jay,
I now have a spread around the patch to consider. I am close to Cambridge but dependent on length of a job can consider the outer locations and loaf about in a coffee shop with a paper.
