Although not in my area, could any one recommend a good indy in the Stockport / Manchester area. This is for a work colleague.

Highly recomend Unit 11 at Birchwood , Warrington.

Very knowledgeable on air cooled, pretty good on water.

Had an engine rebuild / service early this year with them; great job, no bullshit, well pleased.

Tony rebuilt the engine on my 930 3.0. I did not ask for a race engine and it is entirely compliant at road speed, however 12 months after the rebuild, with a 1 bar Turbo spring in place, it recorded just over 400 BHP on a dyno. Not bad for a 1975 3.0! It still gets me 30 mpg if I'm light on the loud pedal.[]
