Recommends for Bristol Area Indie?

I would recommend Steve Bull, Devizes. Lots of his customers are from the Bristol area. I have been using him for 12 years with both 964 and 993. He has nice new premises with comfy sofas and TV.

Many thanks - get car back from Steve Bull pm Friday very impressed with them. See the Gearbox/Clutch issue I posted.

Regards

Would have picked it up Friday .....if the accelerator cable hadnt snapped on my Peugeot on the M5..... now thats quite interesting doing 90+ in the outside lane !!!

Picking up 993 Saturday Now

Saw your car when I went to pick mine up. All ready to collect. By the way, it was Christian you spoke to, not Steve, apparently. Christian owns a yellow 993 himself, so he is a bit of a 993 enthusiast.

Very nice yellow 993 as well, met christian at a PCGB event and lets just say I drive from cheltenham to Tognola's rather than deal with him, not very impressed at all, after seeing his attitude first hand wouldn't let him fix my lawnmower, but have heard good things about Steve Bull as an indie, just not at all impressed with Christian, but each to his own (he does have a v nice 993 tho..)

Strange that maybe he was just having a bad day. We are all allowed at least one every now and again. I found Christian most helpful couldn't do enough even escorted me to the car and watched me disappear! Used Tognola before too and they brilliant too. Would not hesitate to recommend both indies.

Steve has serviced all my Porsches for the last 20+ years...
(from the original barn to the latest purpose built premises)
I wouldn't go anywhere else....genuine enthusiast and an all round top bloke!

as i said, heard only good things about steve, its Christian I had the problem with, shame really as basically gratuitous slagged off my car when I asked him for advice, I was interested in using them as they have such a good rep (and are nearer to me). Anyway, when I asked Togs the same q's, he sorted the problems out that Christian just slagged off (or didn't want to address) . As stated earlier maybe he was having a bad day, (we all have them, I just don't cut anyone any slack on them when it is my first experience of them and my pride and joy). Just one experience, but didn't go back for second chance.

Silly to brag about that on the Furum... You have no idea who reads this!

That's just the beak in you, Derek .. [:D]

cheers, Maurice

Quite true & I do sit in judgement of many sinners on the M4 [:D]

That said, I can never understand drivers who post videos of themselves speeding. The police do have computers you know!! [:D]

However, I am certainly not a kill joy. Porsches are designed to be driven. That is why every year I go to the Isle of Man with the Club where I can drive at high speed without fear of losing my licence.
