What porka and other have said. Do bear in mind that it probably will smoke A LOT for the frist 15 minutes. Do not worry about that- it will burn off all the old oil in the bores etc.
I have recommissioned several old 911's. Even my own car, years ago, that was forgotten about for 18 months..... new battery, mixed some fresh fuel with the stale fuel, 3 cranks on a new battery and vroom.
When you have changed the pads and disks and changed the gear box oil with swepco 210 (all climate, swepco 201 is for summer use- google Berlyn services and ask for Bert Gear), look at the slack in the clutch cable, set up the omega spring, change perhaps the plastic bushes underneath the gear lever and the gear change rod, you go for a drive "to the MOT station."
The car will smoke A LOT. Do not worry. Warm up the oil gently, keep the revs below 5000 until you have done a good 20 miles and then gently bring the revs up. The 3.2 carrera has hydraulic chain tensioners, which are a lot more reliable and maintenance friendly then the previous non- pressure fed tensioners. The chain won't stretch per-se at 104000 miles: unles oyu hear any obvious "clacking noises" you are fine.
Don't be afraid of the smoke!
Now, once you have blown the cobwebs out after a decent drive, measure the compression.
Once all the old oil is burned off and the car is running fine, there is a rule of thumb regarding smoke. White smoke on start up is condensation. Do not worry about that.
Blue smoke on deceleration is valve guides gone, blue smoke on acceleration is piston rings gone. But you can only see this once you have gone for a loooooooooooong drive after recommissioning.
Good luck and please, give us some eye candy: pics pics pics!
Best regards,
Bert
