Red 993RS

Came across this photo during a clear out at the weekend. It was taken at Oulton park in 1995/6. Does anyone know the red 993RS Clubsport?

Incidentally, the Rubystone Red 964RS is the ex UK press car featured in all the road tests, it was originally registered J365 SMO I believe. The 2.7RS was a left to right hand convesion that raced in Macau. It was rebuilt by Gantspeed two years ago and converted back to LHD and it's original colour yellow. It was for sale at Maxted Page recently.

Its RHD !!!???

of the 7 cars there are:

2 x Black
2 x Riviera blue
1 x polar silver

1 x Viola ish metalic - was this the one that was dropped at the docks whilst being exported?
1 x Guards - what happened to this car? Clubsport sent me a photo of what I assume is the same car when it was new, sat in a OPC compound behind a wire fence. Paul, could you post that pic?

Agree on Viola car at the docks, I thought the red one was written off at some point, but hard to believe a replacement shell wasn't sourced???

Thats the one.

Malton were advertising a RHD CS last year or the year before. The car was based in Asia / Far East somewhere. Photos looked like it had been used as a rcae car too. Possibly the same car? JWB may know.

Or maybe its still in the UK somewhere..........

It was definitely a new RHD car when I saw it at Oulton, I was taken for a high speed lap in it by Barry Williams and it seemed bloody quick at the time. Mind you, I was driving a very tired 2.4S at the time.

The 2.7RS was sold in the UK in 1999 for £26k!

that 2.7 RST has been on LMP's site for a long time now, longest i can remember, still for sale - the fact it's been messed about with is obviously a bit of a turnoff. but £26k, ye gods !

Well it did have a 73 front and a 74 rear end I was told so it must have needed a lot of work!

£185K's worth according to MP and it still has the wrong steering wheel and speedometer.
