hi all, thinking about having red calipers on my s2, is it better to have my originals re-furbed then painted or buy a set of base boxter calipers? as i understand the boxters can be fitted with no problem, this is purely cosmetic as i think red calipers with red bodywork will look ok [imho], any ideas? jason p

Are you sure that Boxster calipers fit easily? The reason I ask is that Boxster calipers fit in the same manner as M030 and big Blacks etc, with the fixing bolt oriented differently to 951/964 Brembos. I believe that its easier to fit Boxster calipers to a car that was originally equipped with 2-pot ATE calipers...

As Paul says you can't fit Boxster calipers without a conversion kit (completely different mounting arrangement), however Boxster calipers are cheap on ebay and will almost certainly be cost effective to jump ship to Boxster calipers - caliper refurbs are not cheap even if you DIY, and the Boxster calipers will be a nice upgrade as well - though you'll need to make sure they'll fit under 16" rims if that's what you've got.
