refilling adblue - V8S

Has anyone tried doing this from a garage pump? I know the handbook says don't, but is that just to encourage us to spend more at the OPC?

I had my first refill at opc, but bit of a nuisance driving 30 odd miles and waiting an hour while they do it.

Mmmh! where is the filler point? on the Macan SD its adjacent to the diesel tank fuel cap. In fact I did not know the V8 D needed the Adblue never mentioned at handover and as I've only just touched 3000 miles not likely to see the warning for a while I'm sure.

Depends which version of the V8 you have. The latest uses AdBlue I believe. Assuming it's the same as the V6 the tank is under the spare wheel. If so you'll probably get a light come on in a couple of thousand miles and give you 1500 miles warning. Don't leave it until the tank is dry as the engine will not start and could leave you stranded! Easy to refill with a little care. I use an opc supplied 1 litre bottle with the end cut off as a funnel and then chuck 10 litre drums in.
