Hi Mate

I've had a quote from Lepson to refurbish 18" split rims for £420 +vat. They said they'd need the car for a week.

ALLOY WHEEL REPAIRS [del.ace@btinternet.com] offered to do them for £95 a wheel with a polished rim.

I'm still looking but fancy the polished rim.

hope this helps

thanks for that that is what i am wanting the outer rim polished realy makes the wheels stand out thanks

Agree totally with Nick USA.

The Wheel Restorer did a brilliant job of my (then) 18 year old 944 wheels--so much so that I got full marks for them in the Premier Class at the National Concours.

The problem with just doing the outer rim, is that you can't be sure of a proper job without breaking the wheel down into its component parts - you could mask off thewheel centre, polish and then relacquer the rim section but without proper dip chemical pretreatment the lacquer will be peeling or showing corrosion within months.

Paying £50 per rim for just the outside is a false economy compared to having a full jo on the whole wheel for £125 each.

I have to say I used the Design911 boys a couple of years back. it was £85 per wheel then now £100 but they did an amazing job at bring my scuffed wheels back to better than original spec. took 3 days from drop off.
Give them a look
