Region 1 Launch 997 Carrera

To All.

The launch of the new 997 is taking place in Edinburgh on Wed 15th September and in Glasgow on Thur 16th September this will only be open to invited guests and those that have put deposits down on the new car ....In conjunction with Porsche cars and PCGB , it is the intention to invite the owners of the following cars along to the launch . We need your car to form part of the launch.so if you have one of the following cars

Early 911...Early impact bumper 911 ...Late impact bumper 911..Model 964...Model 996 ...
Model early 3.4 ltr 996..

All cars must be Narrow Bodied Coupes only, cars are to be standard no Rs or body kits ie aero and be as original as to the year the cars where made ...I am looking for one car in each of the catagories .Your car will be valeted by the dealer for the show and you and a guest will receive an invite to the launch night. If you wish to put your car on show please contact me NOW

The dealers will also be having an open night where PCGB members only will be invited along to see the new models . I will keep you all informed.

Does that mean my original 73 rs carrera touring (black) is not eligible as the early 911?[&o]

Iam sorry but they only want standard cars ..not my decision on this .

Have just received the official launch date for the 997 it is on 18/19 September at your OPC it is hoped that all PCGB members will be invited along as well as those invited by the dealership ,for those who kindly offerd their cars will off course be among the VIP guests who will see the cars a few days earlier

I realy need your support on this one ..I am still looking for Early pre impact ..Late impact bumber and a 964 and 993 . They must be Narrow Bodied Coupes only no targas etc and must be RHD and be as original as they left the factory.

There must be some one wishing to show off there pride and joy

My pride and joy is still for sale after weeks of advertising. If I still have it then it is a good example of late impact bumper 3.2

Was at the recent Glenvarigill service clinic too!

Even if it changes hands the new owner will probably be happy to go along, if they're local?

I thought of you but was not sure if it was sold, or was infact if it was a narrow bodied It must also be a coupe rhd, if it fits all then let me know as I am struggling to get owners to come forward and you get your car valeted and a meal FOC.

Narrow bodied and RHD and still not sold. Can't give it away! Put me down for the launch as I am sure it will still be here!
