Ladies and Gentlemen. Back by popular demand is the annual Region 10 / 10(a) Christmas Ball at the same location as last year - namely Sywell Aerodrome near Wellingborough Northants.

As before, we will be hosted (in a 1930' s hanger) by the Glenn Miller Tribute Orchestra, playing music from the era with dancing etc and much opportunity to dress up in period costume if you are inclined. (I'm in RAF uniform) As an alternative, lounge suits are also allowed and will be what most people will be probably wearing, but you can choose either way.,

A disco will fill in when the band is not playing.

A Dinner will be seasonably appropriate but they will be flexible to special needs on demand, but you can guess the fare I hope !

Costs are £39.5 / person, with a £10 deposit to secure a place.

The Aviator Hotel has given us only one date this year, making our choice a whole lot easier - it' s Friday 12th or nothing ! If it' s anything like last years event, it will be a fantastic night and a riot !!

Please could you let Michele know about your interest in the event by mailing her on michele.darnell@virgin.net and also securing your attendance with a deposit sent to our home address (mail Michele for details)

As we booked last year, we do have some sort of " priority" so have secured 30 tickets However the take up from the region has allowed us to release some tickets and we'd like to get as many people from the Porsche Club to join us, so please do have a think and let us know.

Michele will take care of your booking etc but we will need your money by the end of this week at the very latest ! (W/E 14th November).

The on-site "Aviator" hotel is now fully booked, but you might find hotels if required on:-

http://www.bnbserve.com/ (I found some already) or where we stayed last year:-

Chocks away and toodle pip - you're very welcome.

Hello Brian

The nearest hotel is the Aviator - 10 meteres from the venue !

However, as of today there are only a very few rooms left. Last year we all got a cracking deal from Overstone Country hotel (some sort of conference centre), a few miles away. If we organise as per last year, then (as per last year) we need a fleet of taxis / mini-bus to be hired. Dependant upon who signals interest, and who is stopping we' ll sort this out.

But..... it pays to be early folks.
