Hi all,

Hope its acceptable within the forum rules to post this, at Steve and Phil's request the Region is taking its first steps onto Twitter.

You can view our twitter page at http://twitter.com/PorscheClubR13

There is a slight delay to the Facebook group, but as soon as its live we'll be able to start sharing pics easily from the meets. As soon as it is live and working I will let you know.

I've been tweeting this eve, posting pics of the cars, have emailed them all to Steve, but here is a taster (sorry, only taken with an iPhone); Sample picture

Anyway, if any of you are twitter users, please follow and retweet if you can!

Hi Andy
Thank you for setting it up for R13, logged on last night but like most of the members will find it a big learning curve to understand and use.

Hi Steve, no problem. Happy to do some sort of twitter class if people want to get into it.

Good news, the facebook page is now working. Still early days (just setting up some photo albums and then I'll get the events on there), if you any of you are Facebook users please like and add pictures to the group.

Link to the R13 Facebook Page

For starters I've put up an album for members cars HERE.

And I've uploaded my pictures from Porsche on the Prom back in April, those are HERE.

If anyone wants to put photos in members cars and isn't sure how to do it, email me the photo with a bit of info and I will add to the group. My email is awoodall@mac.com

Enjoy!

That was me above, didn't realise I wasn't logged in.

Also, I'll upload my photos from the last couple of meets (the detailing meet and the open one on Tuesday). Again, if anyone has any to share please let me know.

Andy
We are very appreciative of the effort you have put in to bring R13 to Twitter and Facebook and a wider audience.

Thank You

The reason I've decided not to move R9 onto Twitter and Facebook is I don't want to fragment discussions between multiple sites.
Giving that the majority with email addresses don't even post on the Forum is enough evidence that the IT capabilities of many 50+ members is very limited.
So getting them on to FB and Twitter and getting all the privacy setting correct a bit advanced to say the least.

Apart from that you need to have a central place to pass information. Who wants to go to all 3 to catch up on what's happening.
I've got a life also.
