Region 19 will hold its regular summer barbecue at the Novello on the first Sunday in August, our normal Meeting day.
For newcomers the format is this; you bring your choicest cuts of meat or bean burgers and present them to our experienced barbecue chef.
He will cook them to your requirements, even putting cheese on top of a good quality rib-eye if you must.
Salad Items will be provided from regional funds on the assumption that a deconstructed salad sandwich might contain tomato, lettuce, cucumber, mayonnaise, and there will be some potato salad and of course bread.
I will light the coals at 11:30 am and hope to see you all from 12:00 onwards.
You my like to consider paper plates and some cutlery.
In inclement weather the premises afford ample shelter except for yours truly playing the stereo barbecue hearths, and if it gets too crowded the region does have an event shelter which I will erect and cook from under the very edge.
The advantage of the Novello is that beer, and tea and coffee are conveniently located.
Lets see if we can beat last year's record of 17.
Mincemeat is not impossible buy maybe a little awkward!
At the moment there is a snafu with the regional page and I can't load the document, but it's probably me missing a step
