Did you have to remove the wire from this?
I didn't. I didn't know such a thing existed. What prompted you to query this Slim?

Here is a paste of the instruction:
The 28-pin DMEs have one more chip-map selector in the Region Coding
Plug. It is a two-wire connector about about 15cm away from the DME
connector: http://www.gururacing.net/Manuals/RegionCodingPlug.jpg
On the '88+ 28-pin chip cars, make sure that the CONNECTOR IS OPEN (no
plug installed). This selects the ignition setting for street-gas and
ignition. A jumper wire can be used to short this connector and selects
the ADVANCED ignition map which is for race-gas only. [8D][8D][8D]

Just some talk on rennlist, but the american cars are different to the UK ones... Danno sometimes doesnt appreciate this. The tow plugs that were discussed are not on the UK cars for sure.
Panik over!! I was just worried that i had the more advance timing setting on the ECU, best octane fuel we can get in the UK is about 91.5(american mean rating) The advanced timing required 98+ octane. No idean where you can get that!!! Its really poor as in the US 94 octane is readily available, thats like the old UK 5 star.

£5 a litre I think [] (don't quote me though).
I heard an urban legend type story somewhere about a chap who filled his 80 litre car up there with Race gas by mistake. £400 a tank - that will do nicely.
Can't be true - I think you'd notice the numbers spinning on the display. Good story for the pub though
