Region switching

Having joined PCGB at Brands I have been "assigned" to the Kent Region. However, as I live on the Sussex side of the Kent/Susssex border (although only just) I may be closer to some of the Sussex events.

I happened accross the Sussex crowd at Isfield the other Sunday (but unfortunately was in my wifes' shopping trolley not the 3.2 Targa) so couldn't really join in.

Getting to the point (at last !!) are there any objections to sitting on the Kent / Sussex fence and jumping into whatever region suits at the time ?

Jeremy.

Hi and welcome. There's no problem at all. I expect the HQ make something of the demographics of which region people 'belong' to, but from a members perspective it really makes no odds. I subscribe to the Kent e-mail updates because I like to know what they're up to, but am a Sussex member and attend the Sussex pub meet and events. Quite a few of us join the Kent events and vice-versa.

Sussex meet on first Tuesday at the Gardeners Arms in Ardingly, I think Kent meet on the second Wednesday but check Porsche Post for details - I did see their venue is changing from December due to refurbishmment.

Basically you've joined the whole club and can join in with whatever you like. All regions welcome new faces to their events, just make sure you pre-book if that's what they ask.

You're already in the right place by dropping a message here, the forum is where you'll find lots of info - especially last minute updates or impromptu drives etc.

Hi Jeremy,

It doesn't matter which region you attend for meetings etc you will be welcome at any. I live in Surrey, but so close to Sussex I've always got involved with the Sussex region events. You will be more than welcome to any of the events, as Phil says we meet on the 1st Tuesday of the month - Look forward to seeing you there![:)]

Cheers Dan.

Thanks guys. Phil, I see you're in Uckfield - I'm in Crowborough so you can see it will be just as easy for me to get to Sussex meets as Kent ones depending on the where and when.

It's quite simple really. To attend any PCGB national, regional or register events we only ask that you bring your enthusiasm for all things PORSCHE along.....oh and a Porsche if possible!

Claire and I regularly attend:
Sussex
Surrey,
London,
Thames Valley,
Hampshire

... meetings.

And don't feel you can't join in without your Porsche. Of course you can join in, with whatever you are in!

I can think of at least one other Crowborough resident (964 Cab) who comes along to the Ardingly meet. Come and see what you make of it.

Phil

People seem to gather from about 8PM

Where & When:
The Sussex Region Meeting Club night is on the 1st Tuesday of each month at The Gardeners Arms, Ardingly, (situated opposite the South of England Show Ground).
