Regional Karting (winter)league

What about doing a karting league at tracks around the region? - something to keep you warm during the long winter nights...
We could run it once a month starting with the STRASSE night in November in Leeds.
We could then do say, Wakefield in Dec, Bradford in Jan, Sheffield in Feb, xxx in March and a final one somewhere in April - maybe at our favourite track that we visited along the way.
Each Event will be payable, but I am sure we can organise for some suitable prizes at each event and a nice trophy etc for the league champions at the end of it all
I thinking teams of two - members & their partners (or friends!) and a hours enduro at each.

If you want to suport this let me know.
It will or won't happen depending on replies.
We will need about ten teams to sign up for the six events to make it work

Let me know!

By-the-way, still looking to get a regional team up for the inter region Karting at Brands.
Its eighty quid per team of 4.
Jeff,Jacob,Ian etc, I know you are going down - what about it?
We can have more than one team if there is support.

I need to get the cash to HO by the 20th August. If you let me know I will send in the cheque and you can then pay me.

Let me know

Chris, count me in for the winter league.

Chris

I'm up for the winter league (please can I have some padding for my ribcage Sir?) and happy to assist with Brands Hatch too.

I'm pretty sure Steve Bradbury could be tempted to participate at Brands also and I will ask him over the next day or so.

Not that I'm competitive or anything you understand, but hopefully we can get a winning regional team together.

Cheers
Ian

Nothing wrong with being competitive - you should have seen the drive to the Picnic at Duncomb Park last Sunday...

Good if we can get a team together and fly the Yorks flag (or rose)

I fear too late to pay in advance now so we shall just have to gather to arrive and drive on the day - will cost us 5quid each more (£25ea), but will be worth it for the win.

I'm there on the Sunday only and will be parked in the 993 register area. Get Steve to meet up and we'll have a go - what about Jeff too? Can call me on 07850 827240 at the event.

Chris

Your number is in my phone - what time is the karting race on the Sunday?

For info, my number is 07802 463462.

Cheers
Ian

There was talk of it being around half ten in the morning, but I think that was for pre bookings.
We can just arrive and drive and challenge whoever's there.
Don't mind when except we have the 993 parade laps at about half three, so wouldn't want to do it much after 2...

Sorry Chris, I missed the previous thread regarding Brands Karting - did you enjoy Brands-I'm sure I saw your car-I was salivating at the Yellow 993 with the RSR rear spolier.

Jeff
