Our Region's run to Eynsham Hall in Oxfordshire on Saturday 30 August, will be starting from Porsche Centre Silverstone at 8.30 am. The OPC has provisionally offered to open at 8.00 for coffee, etc (sorry, no bacon butties) before we set off for those who wish to stretch their legs. I hope to confirm this shorty.

The trip from Towcester to Eynsham Hall is quite direct but takes in some pleasant countryside on the way.

There is no convoy run being organised for the Sunday.

A number of R10 members are planning to stay over, camping on Saturday night (this will be weather dependent!). Members are invited to join us for a bbq on the campsite around 7pm.

Don't forget to book your tickets in advance.

Please note that the organisers are looking for volunteers over the weekend. Please let me know if you are interested in helping.

As a new member to the Region I would love to join the convoy but may have some trouble waking up the other half at that time on a Saturday - can I catch you all up at Bicester ?

Perhaps if I tell her that I am organising an early morning shopping trip to Bicester Village she may get ouit of bed a bit quicker !!

Last time I looked the OPC had a nice new Cayenne Turbo in the showroom will they lend us it for the day ?

Having investigated the timetable of the Saturday at Eynsham Hall, I now propose that the convoy run begins half a hour later at OPC Silverstone - departing at 9.00 am sharp. The showroom will still open early (probably 8.15-8.30) for coffee. Please let me know if you will be joining us.

Karen and I are planning to join the convoy and will be camping on the Saturday night.

Cheers

I had better start polishing the car - thanks to the concours scores at least I know the areas which need improving. Got a shopping list too.

Reminder - if you want to join the R10 run, please be at OPC Silverstone WELL BEFORE 9.00 am. I have had limited interest notified to me so far - please let me know if you intend to be there. If not, hopefully we will see you over the weekend.

We cannot afford to set off late as we need to get to Eynsham before 10.00 am.

Mmmm...like Maurice i thought 9pm was more like it for registers... I' ll join you if the time were 9am sharp..... I have heard that if you' re not early enough it' s going to be nightmare to get from entrance to parking.. In any case, I' ll know more as I' m going up to have a nose round on Friday and set up the tent

FYI - I' m probably going Sunday as well, so if anybody wants, I' m happy to trundle " en-convoi" in the am.

Great day on Saturday at Eynsham where I ended up spending far more than I had planned with Keith at Prestige Parts and will soon be the owner of lots of Artic silver interior bits for my 996. I will provide a running report once I get them fitted for the newsletter.

Visited the R10 stand a few times during the day but there was never anybody there - clearly the lure of the bacon butties or beer tent was too great. My didgital camera battery ran out on the way there so I asked my nine year old son to take a picture of the R10 ' convoy' with my phone camera. I attach the result !!

Hope to meet a few of you at the Navigation Inn soon.

Does anybody got any 27 way servo' s for sale ? - wouldn' t that be the ultimate toy !

Has anybody ever made a Porsche remote controlled ?? - Track days would be exciting
