If you read PP you will note that I am soon hoping to produce a 997 Register windscreen zap. If anyone has an idea for a logo, please let me have it.

So if the logo is not compliant under the contract of cooperation why dont Porsche AG give us a logo that is. Then we all could decide if we like it. They might even donate the artwork !!!!

Yes I agree with your comments, but whereas we can design and produce a logo that is pleasing to the eye in the twinkling of an eye, PAG will no doubt take years to get it agreed with all!
 
So that means the existing register logo's are illegal until approved.
We now have to do things correctly and are awaiting a reply from Porsche.

When were the samples sent? How long will we have to wait, 1 month, 1 year or until Hell freezes over?

NOT good enough! The club should chase this issue, which is of concern to a lot of the membership.
 
I'm sure that the original 997 logo discussion is quite old so presumably these were sent to Porsche AG quite a while ago.

Perhaps I'll have a 998 by the time they approve the logo!
 
One would hope, now that we are an officially recognised Porsche car club, with a contract of cooperation we would have access to Porsche copyrighted / trademarked material when producing marketing materials for the club?

What are the benefits to Club members of this relationship with Porsche GB? As far as I can see, it is nothing but a hindrance.

Part of the problem is that the car shapes and lettering fonts of many of our Register Logos are actually Registered Trade Marks or are copyright of the Porsche company. We never had official permission to use them in the first place, they were created by the various Register Secretaries and made into car model stickers

Porsche owing the trade mark on numbers in a very generic looking font... they wish !

e.g. 997 v 997 with Italic !

 
Hi Rob,

I forgot to tell you that I submitted 997 logos about a year ago to the Register Director for approval by Porsche. Surely you cannot expect a decision just yet!
