I have a friend with a reg no P 968 BPG which he would like to sell , anyone interested please let me know !

I might be wrong, but I don't believe there is such a thing as a "P" registered 968. The last 968s were sold in 1995, putting them on an "M" plate, so although interesting I don't think your friend's plate would be suitable for any 968 owners.

Perhaps your friend could try advertising it here:

quite right, you can't put a plate on a vehicle that is older than the plate, a neighbour has P959 xxx but it is useless other than for decoration.

Went for a drive in the 964 over to St Asaph to put a Xmas wreath on my Wife's parents grave on Sunday-didn't see another Porsche the complete trip except on the way back at Queensferry caught up with a dirty yellow(is that mustard?) 968 CS I think the no plate started AUK & then undertook it as we peeled off left for Liverpool.Got a sympathetic slight smile from the lady passenger of eastern appearance.

Another one of those useless facts![8|]
