Hi,

am looking for some replacement plates...

I'd really like a coloured PORSCHE crest on the left hand side of the plate, plus the word PORSCHE (repeated diagonally) in the background. No borders. Legal text.
Hope this doesn't sound too naff...!

Anyone have any recommendations reagrding firms who could satisfy this...?

I've found a few firms on the 'net, but can't get the above combination from any of them.

TIA.

Can anyone remember the name of the company that was at Brands Hatch last year?

They managed to do some plates for me that matched my old cracked (and previously legal) ones - complete with Porsche Crest.

They would certainly be able to do what you want - but they will of course be "show plates"[;)]

I had some plates from these people, they offer a Porsche logo, try it out on their website - I think the logo is a bit over-sized. I think most sites will allow you to 'see' the plate so you can play around with borders, logo's, text along the bottom etc. http://www.myshowplates.com/index.asp

Quality and delivery were very good though, just need to find the design you like. Google on NUMBER PLATE and you'll find a load of options.

Also seen www.fancyplates.com, but they don't do a Porsche background.

Thanks for the replies thus far.

Actually, they do. That's where my plates came from [8|]

Shield on the left, border (including gradient colours) of your choice Porsche logo cut into the border, plus additional text of your choice (gemballa in my case) cut into the border.

Just be careful with the font. For 6 years I used plates made by fancyplates.com with a slightly smaller font (do a blind man good to spot the difference) without any problem. Once I had the lairy looking porsche, I was stopped 3 times in as many weeks in different parts of the country[] . Had to go to fancyplates and get another set with the regulation font (although the other bits are still on there)

Ok, just been to gtgrafix.com/. and I see what you mean by "background", and no, fancyplates don't do that.

The other difference between the two ( I didn't check price difference) is the gradient colour schemes provided by fanyplates to the shield block and border; if indeed that floats your boat
