Regluing backing plate?

Odd question I know. I have 4 Pagid road pads taken out of the back of my S2 (almost new condition) that I am going to put on the 968. I have them complete with the wear sensors and backing plates but on one of them the backing plate has unglued itself, what is the normal thing to do with these?

If its the pad that has come off the backing plate and you want to reglue i suggest you throw them away. If that new send back to manufacturer and ask for replacements as must be manufacturing fault.

Im guessing its the very thin backing plate thats come adrift + not the pad material from the thick plate...
Then just throw away the thin bit.. My Pagid blues dont come with any back plates, nore do most race pads...

I think they are, but I have disposed of the back plates on my rears (and fronts, I think), and not noticed any increase in squeal.

(I did apply lots of copaslip, which would do the same job as the back plates.)

Oli.

Have to admit I agree, can't really see how this thin sliver of steel is going to do much. I have both types of Porsche specific HT grease, the copper one and the Optimoly so I should be able to follow all the guidance in the workshop manual. Looks like I will just prize off the other 3.
Cheers guys
